Unmani Sarasvati's Services Include:

Benefits of Mediation Offices

Since Unmani only takes non-adversarial cases, and does not litigate, she is able to give all her clients timely attention. Unmani's practice is that of a transactional attorney, not a litigator, which means she can anticipate the majority of her work and serve all her clients equally.

When an attorney has both non-adversarial and litigation cases, he or she must often prioritize the litigation cases when unexpected developments arise. A common description of a litigating attorney is someone who has to constantly "put out fires," meaning that non-adversarial clients often do not get the same attention as the demanding litigating ones.

Initial Consultation

Initial consultations last one hour and cost $150.

For a mediation consultation, Unmani requests that both individuals attend the initial consultation, although she is able to make accommodations at her discretion if the individuals request otherwise.

For a Collaborative Practice consultation, Unmani usually meets with the person who she would be working with, although if she is the first CP professional contacted, she can interface with the other individual to facilitate his/her contact with another CP attorney.

Fees

Unmani charges prospective clients $150 for a one-hour consultation, and then bills at $275 per hour.

Community Activities

Unmani regularly teaches continuing education courses at Piedmont Adult School on conflict resolution skills and effective ways to approach mediation.
